|  | | Instant Messaging | Instant messages allow users to send messages to each other. The users can create a message at run-time, pick a recipient from the user list and enter the message text. You can add options to respond to the sender, delete the message, etc. Notifications of users joining or leaving online session can be sent to all other users currently being online. |
|  | | Email Notifications and Alerts | Outgoing e-mails Micado enables users to send emails to other users registered in Micado. Defined business rules specify conditions when e-mails should be sent. E-mails can be easily personalised: Subject and body of an e-mail may include placeholders for data (like Academic Staff name) to be taken from the database and inserted into the e-mail. E-mail attachments can be specified as document templates, which are automatically converted into personalized documents when e-mail is sent. Incoming e-mails Micado can receive e-mails sent to a particular e-mail address and automatically take actions based on the e-mail contents as instructed by business rules. For example, Micado can recognise an Academic Staff member by e-mail address and register the e-mail with the specific user. Micado can even register research outputs or any other collected information such as qualifications etc. sent through e-mail provided that order details are specified in a particular way. |
|  | | Task Scheduler | Micado allows you to record tasks within the application itself. Tasks can be alerted to the initiator or to another assigned user. |
|  | | Notes | Micado allows users to add notes to each AC staff profile recorded in the Micado application. These notes can be reminders to make contact to the user, follow up on provided information, or notes for a colleague to follow up on etc. |
|  | | Calendar | Micado allows users to schedule appointments, milestones and reminders. Micado allows displaying appointments or other time-based data in a calendar view similar to a diary. There are five separate calendar views: day, week, working week, month, and year. Users can switch between the views or create a new appointment with a single mouse click. |
